ISTITUTO DELLE FIGLIE DI SANTA MARIA DI LEUCA

Our religious congregation originated in the diocese of Ugento and Santa Maria di Leuca. It was the Bishop who established the Institute with the diocesan decree of August 15, 1941; expressing the desire that it take its name from the region’s major Marian shrine, dedicated to “Sancta Maria de Finibus Terrae,” popularly known as “Santa Maria di Leuca.”
